I am thankful for being able to make art. It helps me make sense of the world. Art offers a chance to pause and reflection. Something close to freedom. The more you look, the more you see. Collage can be a way to order the chaos to reveal new meanings. Images hold quiet power to access other places, other times and other lives. And I’m not the only one. Anyone can pick paper, scissors, and glue to unveil something unique to them. Artists hold space for others in their work, to experience something new without knowing what will happen or how it might be received. I value the time and dedication required for this practice. I see this devotion in others and am humbled to be part of a long tradition. Even as I work to scale in simple ways, the world opens up. Art offers a visual language that transcends spoken language and geographic borders. My art ravels to places I will never know and be seen by people Ihavenotmeet.

Everything is connected.
