Mata Aho Collective

Mata Aho Collective is a collaboration between four Māori women artists, Erena Baker (Te Atiawa ki Whakarongotai, Ngāti Toa Rangātira) Sarah Hudson (Ngāti Awa, Ngāi Tūhoe), Bridget Reweti (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi) and Terri Te Tau (Rangitāne ki Wairarapa). They are known for their large scale textile art works, which were exhibited in documenta 14, the 2019 Honolulu Biennial and at the National Gallery of Canada in 2019. They are one of the 2020 nominees for the Walters Art Prize.
