Tayi Tibble

Tayi Tibble (Ngāti Porou/Te Whānau ā Apanui) is a poet and writer based in Wellington. She is a staff writer for The Pantograph Punch and a columnist at Re: News.  Her first collection of writing, Poūkahangatus, was published by Victoria University Press in 2018, and won the Jesse MacKay prize for Best First Book Award for Poetry at the 2019 Ockham Book Awards. 

During lockdown, she has published a new poem Te Whānau on self-isolation, and is writing a new monthly column for Re: News on urban Māori identity.
