Wayne Youle

Wayne (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whakaeke and Ngati Pākehā) is a visual artist and designer who uses pop art and design influences to explore perceptions of identity and culture.  Wayne went into lockdown in his studio in North Canterbury on 18 March 2020, after returning to Aotearoa from the Sydney Biennale.  While in lockdown he has made a series of flags with items found in his studio, and a picture book, which you can check out on Instagram.
